What We Can Expect From The Grammys + Who Will Win?!

The Gramophone Awards, better known simply as The Grammys, will be taking place this Sunday, February 13. Here's a list of things we can expect to see during the three-hour musical event:

• Performances from: Katy Perry, Muse, Lady Antebellum, Barbra Streisand, Bruno Mars, B.o.B., Janelle MonĂ¡e, Usher and Canada's own Arcade Fire
• Bob Dylan is going to join Mumford & Sons during a three-song folk performance
• Eminem's performance will feature Dr. Dre and Adam Levine of Maroon 5
• Cee Lo Green will be performing “Forget You” with Gwyneth Paltrow ...and The Muppets?!
• Rihanna is to going to sing “What's My Name” accompanied by Drake
• Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Hudson, Martina McBride and Florence Welch are to perform a tribute to the Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin
• The Rolling Stones' Mick Jagger and Raphael Saadiq will also pay tribute to another soul singer, the late Solomon Burke
• Lady Gaga is going to perform her new single “Born This Way” and probably wear a number of crazy and questionable outfits
• Bieber will be there

My Picks of Who Will Win in the Top Grammy Categories

ALBUM OF THE YEAR
• Arcade Fire, The Suburbs
Eminem, Recovery
• Lady Antebellum, Need You Now
• Lady Gaga, The Fame Monster
• Katy Perry, Teenage Dream

*As much as I think Arcade Fire deserves to win because their album is truly amazing, I think Eminem will take it. The Album of the Year usually isn't the most fair of categories. Remember when Robert Plant and Alison Krauss's Raising Sand beat Radiohead's In Rainbows back in 2009? Exactly.

SONG OF THE YEAR
• Ray LaMontagne, “Beg Steal or Borrow”
Cee Lo, “F*** You”
• Miranda Lambert, “The House That Built Me”
• Eminem feat. Rihanna, “Love the Way You Lie”
• Lady Antebellum, “Need You Now”

* It's the catchiest song of the bunch, I say give him this moment.

RECORD OF THE YEAR
• B.o.B. feat. Bruno Mars, “Nothin' on You”
Eminem feat. Rihanna, “Love the Way You Lie”
• Cee Lo, “F*** You”
• Jay-Z and Alicia Keys, “Empire State of Mind”
• Lady Antebellum, “Need You Now”

* Although I'm completely over this song now, I'm sure it'll win considering how massive it was/still kind of is.

BEST NEW ARTIST
• Justin Bieber
Drake
• Florence and the Machine
• Mumford & Sons
• Esperanza Spalding

* Without a doubt, Florence and the Machine should win. Her album was incredible and she has an unbelievable voice that is incomparable to pretty much everyone nominated this year. However, the Grammys can tend to be quite unfair to artists with more of an indie vibe, so I think Drake will take home this Grammy.

BEST ROCK ALBUM
• Jeff Beck, Emotion & Commotion
Muse, The Resistance
• Pearl Jam, Backspacer
• Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Mojo
• Neil Young, Le Noise

* I think it'll be Muse's “finally accepted by America” moment.

BEST ALTERNATIVE MUSIC ALBUM
Arcade Fire, The Suburbs
• Band of Horses, Infinite Arms
• Black Keys, Brothers
• Broken Bells, Broken Bells
• Vampire Weekend, Contra

* It's kind of tragic because I love all these albums! Truly, I think The Black Keys should win, but I think this is going to be The Recording Academy's way of repaying The Arcade Fire for losing to Eminem for Album of the Year.

BEST POP ALBUM
• Justin Bieber, My World 2.0
• Susan Boyle, I Dreamed A Dream
Lady Gaga, The Fame Monster
• John Mayer, Battle Studies
• Katy Perry, Teenage Dream

* C'mon, look at her competition. In all honesty, her album is really good and actually deserves to win.

BEST RAP ALBUM
• B.o.B., The Adventures of Bobby Ray
• Drake, Thank Me Later
Eminem, Recovery
• Jay-Z, The Blueprint 3
• The Roots, How I Got Over

* He outsold all the other records nominated.

So according to me, it looks like it will be a clean sweep for Eminem. Guess we'll have to tune in tomorrow and see how it really turns out.

Also, check out my twitter during the show; I'll be tweeting all about it!
